The Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) at Indiana Legal Services helps Indiana residents who have tax problems with the IRS and the Indiana
Department of Revenue. Our goal is to represent, educate, and advocate for Hoosier taxpayers to ensure they know, understand, and can exercise
their fundamental rights as taxpayers. Although the LITC is funded through a grant from the IRS, we exist independently from the IRS.

- Preparing Offers in Compromise to settle debts for lower amounts
- Getting your tax debts placed into a non-collectible hardship status
- Helping with examinations (audits)

All of our services are free. We usually represent clients whose income is at or below 250% of Federal Poverty Guidelines.
